Cambridge, MA – April 18, 2023 – Wicket, the leading facial authentication platform provider, today announced the appointment of Jeff Boehm as Chief Marketing Officer. Boehm will play a central role in elevating Wicket’s brand awareness and reputation as a responsible facial authentication solutions provider across industries and applications, building off the company’s proven success in sports venue ticketing.
Since its founding in 2021, Wicket has developed a comprehensive facial authentication platform based on patented computer vision AI technology, web-based applications, and integrations with leading credentialing, access control, and ticketing systems, allowing individuals to access a controlled environment via opt-in facial authentication. Over the past two years, the solution has been deployed in some of the most challenging facial authentication environments: sports stadiums. Wicket can accurately identify a ticketholder in less than a second, regardless of lighting or partial facial coverings (masks, sunglasses, hats, etc.), speeding up ingress and improving the overall fan experience.
The company is now poised to build off this success, expanding to new opportunities in sports & entertainment, as well as addressing access control and credentialing needs across other industries.
“Jeff is an accomplished marketing and business leader with deep experience helping innovative technology companies rapidly scale to become industry leaders,” said Sanjay Manandhar, CEO, Wicket. “As Wicket embarks on its next phase of expansion and growth, Jeff’s knowledge and insights will be invaluable in helping Wicket realize the potential of our technology platform.”
Boehm recently served as CMO of Formlabs, a leading 3D printing company, where he helped scale the company to its double unicorn valuation, launching dozens of new products, expanding to new industries and applications, and growing and leading the global marketing organization. Prior to Formlabs, Boehm served in marketing and product leadership roles at technology innovators and industry leaders such as Qlik, Endeca (acquired by Oracle), and Business Objects (acquired by SAP).
“It’s a privilege to help lead a company like Wicket that is committed to using responsible facial authentication in improving security and user experiences across industries,” said Boehm. “With an impressive roster of successful customer deployments showing solid ROI and positive customer reactions, Wicket is well positioned to set the standard for secure access to controlled environments.”
Boehm graduated from Tufts University with a degree in computer science and holds an MBA from Boston University Questrom School of Business.
