Wicket’s facial authentication platform is fully integrated with the Accredit credentialing solution, allowing sports teams and other event organizers to easily manage access to sensitive and restricted areas.
By incorporating Wicket facial authentication into the Accredit registration process, credentialed individuals are able to opt into Wicket and then user their face at any credentialed access point in the venue—such as locker rooms, press boxes, field-level access, and more.
In 2022, Accredit and Wicket launched a small pilot at the home of the Cleveland Browns, enabling increased security for on-field access for players, photographers, and other VIPs.
The following year, the credentialing program expanded with a very successful pilot group of five other NFL Teams, which later expanded to a league-wide implementation in 2024—the largest facial biometric deployment in sports history. From the league-wide rollout, the joint Accredit and Wicket solution has seen over 250,000 credential holders enrolled and over 1,000,000 credentialing decisions as of January 2025.
