CHECK-IN
SESSION SCANS
PCMA and their partners host dozens of events annually for business event professionals across the globe, including:
PCMA was founded in Philadelphia and hosted its first signature event, Convening Leaders, in 1956. The association has a mission to drive social and economic progress through business events, and has 17 North American chapters and members in 72 countries. After a member from Salesforce spoke about their use of Wicket at Dreamforce on stage at CEMA Summit in 2024, PCMA invited Wicket to showcase the technology the following year as part of their Innovation Nation session.
PCMA is constantly looking at ways that their members across the globe can introduce innovative new technologies and best practices into the events. Realizing the benefits that facial authentication can bring to these events through streamlined check-in and session access, PCMA decided to not only tell their members, but to actually showcase it at multiple marquee events. As with other new technologies, seeing is believing, and PCMA wanted their members to experience it see the benefits firsthand.
PCMA acts on behalf of their members by researching trends in the professional event industry.
Based on their research, they then identify opportunities to inform members on these trends.
PCMA then puts a plan into action to inform members through their event ecosystem.
Hundreds of members enrolled to use express check-in and session access across these events, and PCMA invited Wicket to demo the platform so attendees could be educated on the capabilities of the technology. For each event, multiple devices were set up at designated touchpoints to ensure that as many members could participate as possible. Staff were easily trained on how to operate, and the integration with Swapcard enabled seamless session access.
Members were able to enroll as part of event registration or by scanning a QR code on-site at the events to speed up the badge printing process.
The Wicket-Swapcard combination allowed for easy session management for event staff and seamless access for attendees who enrolled.
Innovation Nation is an educational demo session held during the annual CEMA Summit event where cutting-edge technologies are showcased to the member audience, who then cast their votes in real-time to select the winning presentation. At the 2025 event, Wicket was selected as the favorite, which led to further expansion of the program in 2026. Read about it in this linked article.
Our focus at PCMA is always to help our members and community deliver successful events that create meaningful impact for their businesses. Every great event depends on an exceptional guest experience, which is why we're always seeking innovative technologies that can help achieve that goal. Wicket proved its value by speeding up check-in and streamlining session access—and we were excited to put it in front of our participants.

PCMA was able to showcase Wicket’s facial authentication platform to over 1,000 of their members, and educate them on the benefits of using the technology to enhance the attendee experience at business events. Across the three events, over 3,000 successful check-ins and session scans were completed for members who enrolled at more than 50 individual sessions.
