NVIDIA GTC 2025
BIOMETRIC CREDENTIALING CASE STUDY
NVIDIA is undoubtedly one of the most prominent leaders of the current AI wave, and has quickly become one of the largest companies in the world. This hyper growth has led to challenges for their marquee event, the GTC AI conference. As more and more people want to be part of the action, line management issues became more apparent. That’s where Wicket stepped in to help.
Problem
LONG LINES & WAIT TIMES
Like other events of a similar size and scale as the GTC AI conference, long lines are an unfortunate reality for attendees—especially at peak times. In an effort to reduce wait times at check-in and session access, NVIDIA began looking for innovative new technologies to reduce wait times and delight in-person guests.
Manual Scans
Traditional check-in and session access requires scanning of individual badges, which slows down entry and puts a burden on event staff
Automated Scans
Wicket technology allows pre-enrolled users to walk up to dedicated express lanes to check-in or enter a session using facial authentication
Solution
AN EXPRESS EXPERIENCE
Thanks to an existing integration with RainFocus, the chosen event management platform of the GTC AI conference, Wicket was able to work with NVIDIA to deploy express check-in and session entry. This enabled attendees to simply walk up to a Wicket kiosk to check-in or scan into a session within seconds, instead of minutes.

Wicket has spent years deploying and learning from over 4 million entries and credential scans, and is an industry leader in biometric solutions.
Implementation
Multi-faceted solutions
Multiple express check-in stations were set up across the event, with pedestal and tabletop form factors utilized. In addition to check-in, Wicket was also used to augment credential scans into high-traffic locations and for staff credentialing at NVIDIA headquarters.
